Beastie Boys have released, 'Make Some Noise,' the first single from their highly anticipated new album, 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2.'

There's no doubt that 'Make Some Noise' will appease fans of the seminal New York hip-hop trio. The song embodies the typical tempo and energy of their past singles, combining playful lyrics ("Open up a restaurant with Ted Danson") with bold beats and a low-fi sound.

'Make Some Noise' has more than a few surprises. The Beastie Boys use atypical instrumentation on the track, tapping into psychedelic keyboards and making a tip-of-the-hat use of the Auto-tune phenomenon. There's music underneath the verses; it's just done the Beastie Boys way.

The trio also gives a nod to their first hit single, '(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)' with the verse, "We got a part on the left, a party on the right, we're gonna party for the mother f**king right to fight."

INCUBUS

Alternative rock hitmakers Incubus are back with a new song called 'Adolescents,' from their upcoming album 'If Not Now, When?'.

The song combines the modern-rock guitars and strong vocals from singer Brandon Boyd that have made the band successful since the late-'90s. It also channels some of the more ethereal songs from the band's hit 2001 album 'Morning View' with a mid-song interlude featuring dreamy vocal cooing and whistling.

Lyrically, Boyd takes the kind of gloomy view that many adolescents may have. He sings vaguely about feeling overwhelmed and out of bounds, repeating the hook, "Out of sight, out of mind / We're out of time."

The 35-year-old Boyd recently told Noisecreep: "As you move into your mid-30's and beyond, you start noticing how not invincible you are. You start to really kind of understand the true nature of your fallibility, of your ability to break and break down. What I've been trying to do is filter a lot of those things into songwriting."

'If Not Now, When?,' due this summer, is the first Incubus album since their 2009 greatest hits release 'Monuments and Melodies.' Last year, Boyd released his first solo record, 'The Wild Trapeze.'
